In recognizing the need for centralized, accessible legal help in Richmond, Chimo Community Services has partnered with a number of community legal service providers to deliver a range of legal assistance services from Chimo's main office. All services are available to eligible clients in addition to Chimo's own advocacy programs.

Access Pro Bono Summary Advice Clinics @ Chimo

Provided by Access Pro Bono. Practicing lawyers provide free legal assistance in all areas of the law to people who cannot afford a lawyer and do not qualify for legal aid. Clients will receive consultations of up to 30 minute at a time regarding their legal issues. Lawyers cannot represent clients in court, but can provide ongoing legal advice and help clients prepare for court.

Clinics at Chimo normally cover Family Law, Employment Law, and Civil Law matters. Consultations are by appointment only. Please call 604-279-7077 to schedule an appointment.

Amici Curiae Legal Forms Workshop @ Chimo

Provided by Amici Curiae. Volunteer paralegals and lawyers are able to assist clients with completing legal forms necessary for court applications or tribunal submissions. While legal advice is not provided, clients will be able to receive information on the forms that apply to their legal situation and assistance in completing the forms.

Accepted areas of law include (but not limited to) Aboriginal Law, Family Law, Employment Law, Immigration Law, and Civil Law matters. Appointments are required for service. To schedule an appointment, please contact 778-522-2839.

UBC LSLAP Clinics @ Chimo

Provided by the UBC Law Student Legal Advice Program. Volunteer law students are able to provide free advice and representation services to low-income eligible clients under the supervision of practicing lawyers.
